The company owns a refinery asset located in Vernal, Utah, strategically positioned in the heart of the Uinta Basin—one of the most prolific onshore oil-producing regions in the United States.
The Vernal refinery is currently undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment and repurposing program to enable the processing of Uinta Basin waxy crude, a high-quality but logistically challenging resource due to its temperature-sensitive properties. The objective of the project is to convert this regional crude into intermediate petroleum products that are stable, fungible, and suitable for downstream transport via pipeline, rail, or truck.
